I Welcome you to share in my inspiration!
My name is Zoltan Bod . The idea of scratch building a car of my own design is something I have contemplated for quite some time now. This is my way of sharing the experience.

I have been passionate about cars my entire life. Cars are a great way to express your individuality. In doing so however I believe we should not lose sight of what makes life on this planet possible. We must be aware of our environment and do what we can to preserve it. I have always loved fast cars and have done my share of modifications to them in order to optimize their performance . I got to the point where I discovered that just adding more and more power to a vehicle is not the ultimate answer to going fast. The key here is to make the vehicle architecture as efficient as possible so that the energy requirement is reduced . The dramatic effect of streamlining and drag reduction is very obvious in a human powered vehicle such as a bicycle with only about 3/4 of a horsepower available. The record in 2015 was 86.65 mph by a streamlined recumbent bicycle ridden by Todd Reichert. That is the efficiency which my Zoleco design hopes to emulate in an automotive platform.
I love old classic cars and the new exotic super cars. But the classics were not concerned about energy efficiency and the exotics ...well they are built for people who tend not to be concerned about the environment or how much fuel the car happens to consume. I love old classic cars and the new exotic super cars. But the classics were not concerned about energy efficiency and the exotics ...well they are built for people who tend not to be concerned about the environment or how much fuel the car happens to consume. My project involves a much broader perspective, It does not throw caution to the wind but embraces the challenge to go as fast and far as possible with the least amount of energy input. My automotive creativity started to take off with my first build at the age of 18. This 1950 Austin radical custom rod pick up is shown above.
A lot of aerodynamic research went into the project prior to pen hitting paper. The ultimate shape rquired was a tear drop. This is the first of many drawings prior to forming the body in full scale.
This image shows the very early layout using round bar to begin the outline of the body.
This comparison chart clearly shows the benefits of an efficient body design, most note worthy is the coefficient of drag area and how its reduction dramatically boosts performance and reduces the power required to achieve such. .
By getting seriously involved in the redesign of the inefficient brick shaped car I believe I just might have carved a niche into the performance car world.
During the years I spent building this full size development model I have come across a few obstacles most of which I managed to overcome. The next step is to build the prototype. It will require years for me to save up the funding required for that endeavour, please be patient or if you wish to get involved on a financial level the door is currently open for a business partner.
