Tubular spaceframe

This photo shows the square tube framework supporting the design models body. The plan is to use a multidimensional spaceframe for the prototype which shall be formed out of  high strength mild steel or chromoly .This would suit the rigorous challenges put on it during track testing and also meet safety requirements set by various racing associations to protect the occupants during some unforeseen mishap. More about this later.

Active air suspension

I feel it is important for this car to have active suspension. Which basically means the ride height of the car can be varied to suit a particular circumstance. For example high speed stability can be dramatically improved by altering the ride height and thus roof rake angle to vary the downforce as needed.

Center of gravity

Center of gravity

We, I hope all understand the importance of a low center of gravity. Whether you are making high speed passes down the Bonneville salt flats or negotiating high speed cornering maneuvers a low center of gravity is essential for optimum performance. It is vital on a three wheeled tadpole layout such as the Zoleco is using.
